Pampa Economic Development Corporation (Pampa EDC) and Pampa Energy Center, LLC. are pleased to announce the closing of a sale on 40 acres of undeveloped land  priced at $1,000.00 per acre to C4Ag. LLC. owned by Gray County farm operators Charles and Janyth Bowers and their three sons.  C4Ag. LLC. purchased the property for the purpose of developing an agriculture related business that will dry and store specialty grains as well as some of the Bowers’ own crops.  Construction of the facility is scheduled to begin this year and will take approximately three to four months to complete.  The property is located on the east side of FM Road 2300 at the intersection of FM 2300 and County Rd I (I).

The contract stipulates that all water and mineral rights will continue to be owned by the Pampa Energy Center, LLC. Another stipulation in the contract gives Pampa Energy Center, LLC. the right of first refusal if the Bowers offer to sell or receive a bonafide offer from a third party to buy all or a portion of the property, as well as the right to purchase the land back for the original sale price from the Bowers if they have not developed the property for agri-business purposes within five years from the date of closing.

Charles Bowers noted that in addition to construction jobs, one permanent job will be created initially with additional jobs and facility expansion very possible as future business plans develop and demand warrants.  Ken May, President of the PEC Board of Directors, stated that this is an exciting development for the PEC and is the first of what is expected to be a number of future businesses comprising an agricultural complex at the PEC site.
